Ethyl acetate

Ethyl acetate is the ester of ethanol and acetic acid. Ethyl acetate is a widely used organic compound with various industrial, commercial, and laboratory applications. The most common method of production involves the reaction of ethanol and acetic acid. This Process is Known as a Fischer Esterification. Another method is Tishchenko Reaction which involves the reaction of acetaldehyde in the presence of an alkoxide catalyst.
